#TargetStyle | Comfort, Confidence & Style ft. JoyLab Leggings

by Holly Swasko in

To me, there’s nothing like finding that perfect pair of leggings that checks all the boxes. I know I’ve said this time and time again, but leggings are one of my top staples for fall & winter (or just any time of year if I’m being real). That said, I do get a little picky when it comes to finding the perfect pair since I know that they’re one of those staples that remain so heavy in my rotation.

If we’re talking favorites, I have been for years and am still loyal to my Zella Live-In leggings from Nordstrom. If you want, you can go read my post I did about them here. For real, they’re amazing, and they have good reason to be dubbed “Live-In.” They check all the boxes from their flattering fit to quality construction. It’s definitely safe to say that these will always be my standby!

So as far as I know, I won’t be ditching my Zellas anytime soon, however, I did happen to recently come across another brand that I’ve been really impressed with from JoyLab, one of Target’s newer activewear brands.

TRY: JoyLab’s Mini Stripe Mid-Rise Leggings

For one, the fit on these are so good. It says that they’re mid-rise, but I do find them to be a bit higher on me as the waistband meets right at the smallest part of my waist, as would a true high-rise, which I like!

In the past, I’ve found that some leggings can fit super well in some places, and then be super baggy in others or vice-versa, but I like these because the material (85% polyester, 5% spandex) really hugs and flatters all-around, which is definitely something you can feel good about!

And these are definitely a piece that you can wear just about anywhere - from going out to working out. I’ve been pairing mine with all kinds of neutral tees and sweaters. And for working out, I like them because they stay-put and really move with you.

Lastly, I have to say, that leggings in general are one of those things that you always have to try on for size. All brands are so different as there are so many varying styles, rises, and lengths, it becomes a total guessing game. (I’m wearing a large in these, but I wear a small in the Zella brand - go figure!)

These are available, as of now, in 2 colors - wine and navy - and run for $34.99 a pair. If you’re looking for a new brand to try out, definitely check out JoyLab. I’m excited to try more from them in the future!
