If you love fashion, you know you're always looking ahead into the the next season to see what's hot and trending. It's not even mid-August and we're already observing the trends of this coming fall/winter season. Us fashion lovers are always one step ahead and always have to be on our toes - literally. Today, I'm sharing one of my favorite footwear trends, my favorite way to style them, and where you can score some of these favorites so you can walk around in style this season!
The lug sole. I just can't get enough! The term "lug sole" is used to describe the sole of shoes that feature thick rubber with tread-like indentations -- similar to the bottoms of workman boots.
Lug soles can be found on tons of different style footwear such as platforms, sneakers, and if you're daring, they even make lug sole pumps! (You can check these out here! Would you ever try 'em?) But my favorite and the most wearable in my opinion are lug sole booties! I recently purchased two pairs from Charlotte Russe and I'm madly in love with them! They are extremely comfortable even though they do have a heel. I find them incredibly easy to walk in because of the rubber soles that provide traction + stability (these will be my saviors in the coming icy winter months!)
Along with that, I purchased two pairs of skinny jeans from Charlotte Russe as well! I used the size charts available on there website and they are honestly THE best fitting jeans I've ever worn. I was always a legging kinda girl in the past, not gonna lie. However, these are life changing and I'm so happy with them. The material has a good amount of stretch yet they're nice and fitted at the same time. Flattering and a decent price? I'll take it! (I'm linking everything at the end of this post so you can pick some up as well!)
Onto styling, pairing these heeled-boots and jeans together are the perfect combo! As a student heading back to school this month, I definitely recommend this look as it's easy to style and really pulled together at the same time. I love cuffing the bottoms of my jeans creating a little gap between the hem and the shoe. Think of it as the midriff trend but for your jeans!
As for tops, here are some ideas - I may sound like a broken record at this point, but slightly cropped hems are super flattering. I like the boxy cut crops that skim a bit over your waist. Slouchy sweaters are a great option as well as a simple high-low tee that makes for a lengthy silhouette!
