In the midst of the summer weather, the newly opened pools & beaches, and that tan your working on, I think we all know what season it is. Swimsuit season.
Swimsuits are my favorite part of summer fashion and shopping for that perfect one, I think, is something everyone can relate to. When it comes down to it, I basically live in mine during the summer months, so finding one you love is pretty important. (Clothed in confidence, anyone?)
Typically if I'm in need of a basic bikini, I opt for places such as Target or Old Navy to pick one up. It's affordable, and the quality is usually fairly good. However, last July, I tried a different approach and decided to purchase a bikini from Triangl.
Triangl is an Australian swimwear brand that's known for their 100% neoprene bikinis. The styles range from bright string styles, to trendy bustiers, all showcased in their famous collection of eye-catching neons & metallics.
After browsing the what seemed like unlimited options, I finally decided on the one. The style I chose is called "The Milly" and I purchased it in the color "Santa Rosa Splash." It took me forever to decide on that alone. I had my heart set on the color "Arizona Sunset," but as their popularity continued to grow as well as the month of July being in full swing, it was sold out. It just goes to show how fast they sell, so be sure to order asap if you're thinking of purchasing one. Despite that happening, I'm extremely satisfied with the blue shade I ended up getting, and would definitely recommend that one. (The bright color makes you look extremely tan!)
A common problem that people tend to run into when ordering anything off the internet for that matter, is sizing. Especially in a situation like this, with swimwear. I was a little nervous upon ordering, praying that I chose the right size. I did a ton of research beforehand, reading up on other blogs, taking measurements, size charts, and using the live chat feature on the Triangl website. This feature was a huge help and gave me plenty of reassurance, definitely recommend that as well!
With the material being Neoprene, it's basically the kind they use in wetsuits. It has limited stretch and hugs your shape. This can make the sizing very confusing, however, with these resources, you will be sure to find your perfect fit. It's recommended that you size up.
For reference, the size pictured, is a Medium top and an XL bottom. It ended up fitting me perfectly!
I'm in love with the top because it provides support and it's very comfortable. Overall, the suit provides minimal - moderate coverage. The material really conforms to your shape.
You can purchase "The Milly" here for 89 USD. (This does not include shipping.)
It took about 2 weeks for my suit to ship. It comes in a black storage box as pictured, along with special care instructions, to keep the neoprene in good condition. I definitely would advise keeping the box it comes in, it's the perfect place to store it in your closet, since you are supposed to lay it flat.
So with these things in mind, Triangl is the perfect bikini for those looking for good, durable quality and structure.
So will you be wearing a Triangl this summer? I know I will be!
